RSS leader’s son shot dead by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Ferozpur

Ferozpur: Naveen Arora, son of longtime Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) associate Baldev Raj Arora, was shot dead by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants on Friday evening in Ferozpur, police said.

According to reports, Naveen had closed his shop in the main bazaar and was on his way home near Dr Sadhu Chand Chowk when the attackers intercepted him near Baba Noor Shah Wali Durgah.

Witnesses said the assailants fired at him from point-blank range before fleeing the scene. Locals rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.Senior police officials, including DSP (City) Sukhwinder Singh, visited the crime scene and initiated investigations.

Police teams are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the attackers and have assured the public that the culprits will be apprehended at the earliest.

Senior RSS leader Ashwani Dhawan described the killing as “extremely unfortunate” and called for strict police action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The incident has left the local community shocked and concerned, prompting heightened security measures in the area. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
