Kharge Urges PM to Convene Special Parliament Session Over Pahalgam Attack

New Delhi, April 29(IW) Congress President and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting the convening of a special session of Parliament to discuss the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

In his letter, Kharge said that there is the need for unity and a collective response in the aftermath of the attack, which claimed the lives of several innocent citizens on April 22, 2025.

“At this moment, when unity and solidarity are essential, the Opposition believes that it is important to convene a special session of both Houses of Parliament at the earliest. This will be a powerful demonstration of our collective resolve and will to deal with the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam,” Kharge wrote.(IW).
