Indian, Pak Forces Exchange Fire Across LoC Again in J&K

Srinagar, April 29(IW): The Indian Army on Tuesday said that Pakistani forces initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the Line of Control (LoC) during the intervening night of April 28 and 29, targeting areas in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of north Kashmir, as well as the Akhnoor sector in Jammu.

In an official statement, the Army said, “During the night of April 28–29, 2025, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked small arms firing across the Line of Control in areas opposite Kupwara and Baramulla districts, as well as the Akhnoor sector.”

The Indian Army responded “in a measured and effective manner to the provocation,” the statement added.There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage on the Indian side at the time of filing this report.(IW).
