New Delhi: IndiGo operated more than 2,000 flights for the second consecutive day, signalling a return to operational stability following earlier disruptions that left thousands of passengers stranded across the country.
The airline, following a revised schedule in line with government directives, said it has demonstrated continuous operational normalisation over the past five days.
“IndiGo is set to operate over 2,050 flights. All our 138 operational destinations are connected, and on-time performance has been consistently normal as per IndiGo standards,” the airline said in a statement.
IndiGo progressively increased flights over the past week, operating over 1,700 on December 8, 1,800 on December 9, 1,900 on December 10, and 1,950 on December 11.
On December 12, it ran over 2,050 flights, with only two cancellations due to technical issues, and affected passengers were immediately accommodated on alternate flights.The airline is expected to operate over 2,050 flights on Saturday.
